1. Labeling and Documents


Q: How should I label my Beers for shipping?


A: Clearly label each box of Beers using the official Competition Label, which can be downloaded from the 'My Submission labels' section in 'My account.' Place one copy inside the box as well. Your reference number is crucial for the ABR team to identify your shipment. Failure to include these labels may result in your samples not being accepted at the ABR warehouse.

Q: Is Asia Beer Ratings (ABR) responsible for tracking the shipping of my Beers?

A: No, Asia Beer Ratings is not responsible for tracking your shipment. Please ensure everything is in order before sending your Beers.

Important Note before Shipping and Mandatory:

  1. Download & Print the Event Label

  2. Prepare a Commercial Invoice (Total invoice amount should not exceed HKD 2000)

  3. Prepare a Packing List

  4. Stick all the above 3 on the box and also share the e-copy of point 2 and 3 to us prior to shipment

  5. Ensure the Shipment is Deliver Duty Paid (DDP)

  6. Once shipped, share us the Tracking details along with the e-copy of Commercial Invoice and Packing List

*Please note, we/ organiser are not responsible for any delays, customs clearance, penalties, custom duties. It has to be completly bear by the shipper. 

2. Shipping Address and Number of Bottles Per Entry

Q: When will I receive the delivery address?

A: The delivery address is in the Submission Label that will be active after successful payment. The delivery address is in Hong Kong.

Q: How many bottles do I need to ship per entry?

A: Ship a minimum of 3 bottles/cans of 300ml and above each to the mentioned warehouse address. Ensure to use the official ABR shipping labels for sending samples.

For packages of cans, the limitation is under 24 cans, whereas for bottles, the limitation is under 12 bottles per box.

Please ensure to have a well-packed protection to eliminate any potential damage or liquid leakage during transit.

Q: What is the goods receiving time at the warehouse?

A: Monday to Friday (09:00 to 18:00), Saturday (09:00 to 12:00), excluding Sunday and Public Holidays (HK Timezone)

Q: What happens if my Beer arrives after the deadline date?

A: Beers arriving after the deadline will not be accepted, and refunds will not be issued.

 

3. Instructions: If Shipping From Outside Hong Kong

Please ensure that Delivery Duties and Taxes are paid in advance. Ensure the competition label, along with Commercial Invoice/ Proforma invoice, and Packing List are attached to the box.

It is suggested to ship the beers to Hong Kong via courier, e.g., DHL, FedEx, etc. (instead of ocean freight or air freight shipment)

 

4. Import License, Declaration & Duty

Q: Who is responsible for the duty, shipping costs, and taxes?

A: The submitter must prepay all duties, shipping costs, and taxes. Beers must be Delivered Duty Paid (DDP). Any penalty and additional cost from non-compliance with declaration requirements will be borne by the submitter. 

 

5. Do I Need To Insure My Beers?

Q: Is there insurance for Beers in transit?

A: ABR and its logistic partner do not take responsibility for damaged or lost Beers during transit. Submitters are advised to secure their own insurance.

 

6. What if I miss the Shipping Deadlines?

Q: What happens if I miss the shipping deadlines?

A: If you miss the shipping deadlines, your registration will not be considered for judging, and no refund will be initiated. Delays caused by couriers and customs will not be accounted for, so please ship in advance.
